THE WCC GALLERIES

The first floor of the Washburn Cultural Center is home to two large gallery spaces in which we host monthly art exhibits, receptions, art programs, and civic meetings.

The Permanent Collection

Because the arts are such an important part of what makes the Chequamegon Bay area a great place to live, we continue to build an art collection that reflects the cultural traditions and natural resources of the region. Used from time to time for special exhibits in both our first and third floor galleries, the collection is intended to help us define our community's identity from an artistic point of view. Like the objects preserved and interpreted by the historical society, the art collection can also tell stories about our community, about the folks who live here and the people, places and things they value.
