Scenes From Our Exhibits

For nearly 40 years, the all-volunteer Washburn Area Historical Society has been providing a place for local people to donate all sorts of items of historic significance for preservation and sharing with the general public. Consequently, WAHS has a sizable, varied collection of historical treasures housed in our archives. The centerpiece of the collection is the complete photo and manuscript estate of the late, great Charles M. Sheridan (1905-1991), a prolific, nationally known photojournalist who was born and raised in Washburn and lived out his days here.
