1st Annual Antiques Appraisal Fair This Saturday, September 14!

Join us on Saturday, September 14, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and have your family heirloom, antique, or collectible appraised by Gary L. Browne, of Bluebeards Antiques. Mr. Browne has nearly 50 years of experience in appraising American antiques and specializes in furniture, firearms, pocket watches, original art, and collectible Americana. Cost is $10 per item, with a limit of three items. Proceeds will benefit the Cultural Center.

2018 Aldo Leopold Bench Project Auction - Saturday, July 28 at 4:00

Join us for "The Wonder of Woods and Water" Aldo Leopold bench auction at 4:00 on July 28, in downtown Washburn at the Chamber of Commerce parking lot, with auctioneer Jan Lee.  Ten benches were painted by volunteer area artists Amanda Millonzi, Crystal Gibbins, Jason Terry, Brad Lemire, Kristen Christensen, Chris Lindsey, Kate Greenough and Aaron Folsum and his summer 4-H students.  Opening bids are $100 per bench and proceeds benefit the Washburn Legacy Consortium organizations - Washburn Cultural Center, Washburn Area Historical Society, Washburn Heritage Association, Washburn Beautification Foundation, Historic Civic Center Foundation and Chequamegon Bay Arts Council.

Brownstone Days Benches Are Out and About!

The Aldo Leopold benches are finished and have been placed around town.  Thanks to artists Donn & Ann Christensen, Jamey Ritter, Lissa Flemming, Anne Flemming Coburn, Bradley Lemire & Kristen Christensen, Betty Sitbon, Nancy Sturgul, Kate Greenough and Jessica Meyer for sharing their imaginations and taking time to paint a bench!  Join us on July 29 at 4:00 p.m. at the Cultural Center for the bench auction.  You could own one of these unique, yet practical works of art.
